The Paris Apartment - Book Review

Writer's picture: Vanessa AlcaldeVanessa Alcalde

I would put this one at a 3.5 almost 4. The suspense was fulfilling, and intense!! Although I felt like every time it got closer to telling more of what was going on, the author just left us in a cliffhanger, chapter after chapter lol I started picking up on the next move because I just knew that when the end of the chapter was near, there would be a cliffhanger. It was very slow in the beginning, and took me some time to put the pieces together but overall, it lined up pretty good at the end. I loved the setting and how detailed the author was describing the apartment, and everything else.

In short, the story is about an apartment that holds tons a few tenants that somehow is connected to one another despite being on different floors. Slowly, you become used to the names of all of them but at first it took me some time to remember every character but each one has a personality of their own. I highly recommend this one as an audiobook because the narrators do a great job with the accents, and the tone of voice using suspense, intonations and all. Lovely work.
