Are you kidding me? This story had me pensive AF. To be honest, in the beginning I was very lost so I just let the audiobook go on and sometimes I would zone out but it picked up. I've noticed that thriller books are often better narrated rather than reading it because throughout the book there were instances were the author really tried to tiptoe and make the scene as extensive as possible by giving as much detail to opening the door, or going out in the rain, etc. and I can't imagine having to read that in a more than one page. I should also mention that having a great narrator is always key for a full ride on a chilly thriller story.
Listen, I would've never thought that the story would've developed as it did and I'm glad I was taken into a re-route like hold up- what just happened. The chapters are straight-forward and written from 11 years ago to now, both aiming to solve the case of the missing 'woman'. Leo only had a small portion of fame but boy was he a prick and ruthless when he was older.
I was intrigued because I thought I had it solved when new incidents continued happening to Meridith, but I was proven wrong.
I absolutely enjoyed this story. So happy I listened to this audiobook.
