So funny and raw. It took me a while for me to get into the book because I was not finding any true meaning behind the book but everything began to click after every anecdote. I couldn't have related more to this story, I never truly imagined that someone else have had the same thoughts when feeling like you have reached your full potential and aren't happy. I;m so incredibly happy about how the author properly worded her journey with friendships, moving on from failed relationships because it's like she had everything I could've imagined growing up but I never saw it as an experience that others may have faced too.
I went into this book thinking I would know certain tips on how to improve my relationships or how to be successful in a long-term marriage but no, it's totally different and personal. It's so funny and yet emotional, not sure how the author has such gift to be able to place both and still manage to hook me into the story. I must say, I found a few recipes that I want to try, especially the ice cream one. I have started watching the show and so far I'm loving it. This is definitely a book I will read again just to gain a sense of self-awareness and understand that some things may not go the way you have planned it as well as relationships and friendships. There is an unspoken rule that one should be set by a certain age and have everything figured out but this book taught me that those rules are literally created by yourself and rules can be broken if it means it will improve your mental health.
